“Saturday Night Live UK” took aim at Shane Gillis’ controversial monologue about women’s gym attire on the US version of the sketch comedy show.
“A ride operator at Munich Oktoberfest was praised for giving out free cycling shorts to female riders,” Ania Magliano said on the show’s “Weekend Update.”
“Wearing the gym shorts will protect women from being upskirted, but it does make them vulnerable to something much worse,” the comedian, 28, added as a photo of Gillis appeared onscreen.
As the audience laughed, Magliano then spoke about the “Tires” star’s explicit “SNL” monologue.
“Last week on ‘SNL,’ comedian Shane Gillis also caused controversy by dropping the F-bomb,” she said. “Oh, Shane. You’re not allowed to say that, you stupid f–king c–t.”
Page Six has reached out to a rep for Gillis, who declined to comment.
During Gillis’ “SNL” monologue on Oct. 10, he joked that he hadn’t been to the gym in a long time and didn’t know women “dressed like whores now.”
The comedian, 38, also dropped the F-bomb live on air during a Dr. Seuss sketch, which he later apologized for at the end of the episode.
Gillis’ remarks about women’s gym attire immediately drew social media backlash and criticism from figures like Dan Levy, Jenna Bush Hager, Kathy Griffin and more stars.
“Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make them whores. It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There’s a difference there,” the “Schitt’s Creek” star, 43, argued in an Instagram Reel.
“By the way, I’ve seen more men’s nipples at the gym than I’ve ever seen women showing their bodies off. I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television,” Levy added.
Gillis has not addressed the backlash.
