Eva Mendes' Tattoo Sparks Marriage Speculation with Ryan Gosling

Share Post

Eva Mendes gushed over her tiny wrist tattoo, seemingly inspired by her longtime partner Ryan Gosling.

The actress took to Instagram Friday to share several photos of herself lounging in the car, including one flaunting her ink that reads, “de Gosling.”

“It’s the only one I have, the only one I’ve ever wanted,” she wrote in the comments after one fan was left in awe over it.

Married women in Hispanic culture often use “de” — translated as “of” — to add their husband’s moniker to their own.

For Mendes, this would mean she would go by Eva Mendes de Gosling.

This isn’t the first time Mendes has shown off the tattoo. She gave fans a flash of it on Instagram in 2022, causing fans to excitedly speculate at the time if it was a confirmation she’d married Gosling.

However, Mendes and the “La La Land” star still have yet to say the word whether they have tied the knot, after an initial 2016 report claimed they held a private ceremony with family and friends.

The “Hitch” star, meanwhile, also fueled speculation when she referred to Gosling as “her husband” during an appearance on “Today Australia” in 2022.

When asked about her time in Australia, she said, “Everybody is amazing, everybody is welcoming us, it’s been so beautiful. My husband Ryan is here … and our children are here, we’re having the best time.”

Additionally, Mendes has occasionally been photographed with a ring on that finger.

The couple started dating in 2011 after starring in the Derek Cianfrance film, “The Place Beyond the Pines.” They have since welcomed two daughters, Esmeralda, 11, and Amanda, 10.

Mendes, who has since pulled back from her acting career to raise the girls, confessed to Women’s Health magazine in 2019 that she didn’t want children until she met Gosling.

“Then it made sense for me to have … not kids, but his kids,” she explained at the time. “It was very specific to him.”
