Jason Alexander's Apology to Courtney Stodden: What Really Happened?
Jason Alexander is issuing a public apology to Courtney Stodden after she slammed the actor for their Funny or Die comedy sketch in which he rubbed a phone on her breasts when she was a minor.
"Looking back at the comedy sketch in which Ms. Stodden and I participated in 2012, I completely agree that it was inappropriate and I truly regret it,” the Seinfeld actor, 66, said in a statement to Us. “But more importantly, I am deeply sorry for any harm or distress it has caused Ms. Stodden. I offer her my sincerest apologies."
Stodden, 31, publicly called out Alexander via Instagram on Monday, July 20, while looking back at the comedy sketch, which parodied daytime television and featured Alexander using a cell phone to “assess the quality” of Stodden’s heart.
