Gracie Abrams Stirs Controversy with Joe Alwyn Photo at Swift's Wedding

Share Post

Gracie Abrams ruffled a few Swifties’ feathers by posting a screenshot of Taylor Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn alongside pics of her outfit to Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

Abrams, 26, wore a red sequin gown to Swift’s star-studded Madison Square Garden wedding Friday, slicking back her short brunette locks.

The “That’s So True” singer shared a pic of herself in the dress, as well as a close-up of the gown sparkling in the sun while seated in the backseat of a car, to Instagram Sunday, but also included a seemingly random carousel of pics.

One pic in particular raised eyebrows as it included Alwyn and Emma Stone — the latter whom also attended Swift’s wedding — in a memorable scene from their 2018 film, “The Favourite.” The screenshot in from a scene in which Stone’s character, Abigail Hill, beats up Alwyn’s character, Samuel Masham, in the woods.

Though you can’t see Alwyn’s face, you can see him in the screengrab as his character dives toward Stone’s character.

Abrams gave no explanation for including the screenshot, but also posted throwback childhood pics and artsy shots of her album covers in her carousel.

Abrams did not mention Swift and Kelce’s wedding in the post, but the dress matches what she wore in paparazzi pics of her leaving the star-studded nuptials.

The “Look at My Life” singer got heat from Swift fans in the comments, with one noting the photo choice was “crazyyyyy” and another called the move “weird.”

A third chimed in, “Not congratulating Taylor – but posting her ex?”

Here’s latest on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at MSG:

Swift, 36, and Alwyn, 35, dated for over six years, from 2016 to 2023.

A source told Page Six at the time that the breakup “wasn’t dramatic” and that the exes had no bad blood.

“[The relationship] just ran its course,” the source said.

Alwyn has since moved on romantically. The British actor was snapped kissing “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” star Sarah Pigeon, 29, last week at a London park.

The two are reportedly “casually dating” and “really into each other,” Us Weekly reported last month.

“Both Sarah and Joe are very intellectual, private and laid-back people, so it feels like a really compatible match,” a source told the outlet.

Meanwhile, Abrams opened up for Swift on The Eras Tour in 2023 and 2024.

The two also collaborated on their 2024 song, “Us,” which was on Abrams’ second album, “The Secret of Us.”
