Madonna's Unbelievable Times Square Surprise Leaves Fans Stunned
Madonna hasn’t lost her ability to shock.
The icon stunned New Yorkers Thursday evening when she performed a surprise concert in Times Square.
The 67-year-old singer, who’s promoting her new album, “Confessions II,” performed for 15 minutes. The pop-up concert also celebrated the beginning of Pride Month.
Madonna rocked a skintight pink corset for the performance, which she wore over a frilly bodysuit paired with a blue bra. Pink arm gloves and matching thigh-highs completed her bold look.
The icon also wore blue-tinted sunglasses, a chunky diamond necklace and silver knee-high boots.
Fans posted video of the show on social media, which drew a massive crowd. Though the concert was relatively short, it didn’t skimp on the theatrics — the performance included dancers, a DJ and a rotating stage.
Her set list included her hits “Hung Up” and fittingly, “I Love New York,” which are both off of her 2005 album, “Confessions on a Dance Floor.”
“Confessions II” — the sequel to “Confessions on a Dance Floor” — dropped Wednesday. Madonna told fans last month about her new album, “Confessions Il is a love letter to dance music and to all the spaces and communities that create it or enjoy it.”
“The dance floor isn’t about a specific space or building, it’s wherever we gather to dance, celebrate and connect,” she continued. “Thank you for being a part of this moment and for supporting my music.
See you on the Dance Floor!”
Madonna also wished her fans a happy Pride Month Monday, posting a video of herself smoking.
“Nothing like a Mothers Love……Happy Pride month 🏳️🌈,” she wrote. “See You Soon!”
Madonna has been busy promoting her new album with massive performances. In April, Sabrina Carpenter brought her out as a special guest for her weekend two Coachella performance. It marked 20 years since Madonna’s own headlining set at the California festival in 2006.
She’s also headlining the first-ever halftime show at the FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside Shakira and BTS on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
