Chris Hemsworth's Airport Mix-Up: The Passport Mishap That Stopped Everything

Share Post

Chris Hemsworth and his family were denied boarding for an international flight after a passport mix-up.

The “Thor” actor and his wife, Elsa Pataky, spoke about the embarrassing incident during a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, as he explained, “I actually went to the airport once and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport.”

Hemsworth — who shares daughter India Rose, 14, and 12-year-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan with Pataky — said he tried to get through security by insisting that the travel document belonged to his youngest daughter.

“They kind of look the same,” he quipped, as the Spanish model, 49, chimed in, saying, “They don’t.”

“I said, ‘This is her,'” he recalled telling the security agent, who replied, “‘That’s a boy.'”

“So, yeah, that didn’t work,” the Marvel star, 42, quipped.

Hemsworth and Pataky — who tied the knot in 2010 — welcomed India Rose in May 2012, followed by twins Sasha and Tristan in March 2014.

Although the couple mostly keeps their children out of the spotlight, they seem to be following in their famous dad’s footsteps.

India Rose starred as Gorr’s daughter in the 2022 film “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

Though Hemsworth was excited for his eldest child to join him on set, he shared that he wants her to prioritize being a kid.

“I want her to have a childhood and I think so does she,” he told ET Online in July 2023.

“I said, ‘There’s plenty of time, sweetie. Go to school, horse ride, have fun, be a kid.’ Because once the train moves, it’s pretty hard to get off, and you miss a lot of things,” the “Avengers” star added.

As for the twins, Sasha and Tristan recently appeared in their mom’s new TV series, “The Tribute.”
