'Drag Race' Star Reveals Brain Injury's Impact During Filming Shocker
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Morphine Love Dion opened up about experiencing "psychosis" while filming All Stars 11, attributing it to a traumatic brain injury from a car accident.
Car Accident Details
In July 2024, Morphine and fellow drag queen Kaos were involved in a deadly car accident on Los Angeles' 10 freeway. The incident resulted in multiple hospitalizations, including Morphine's, after a single vehicle crash escalated into a multi-car collision.
Morphine's social media team confirmed the accident on Instagram, stating she suffered multiple injuries but was grateful to be alive.
Recovery and Challenges
Morphine updated followers that she was recovering with advice to stay on bed rest. Her injuries included a fractured collarbone, broken teeth, and surgery for a broken jaw.
During the filming of All Stars 11 in 2025, she struggled with mental health issues. Despite these challenges, she fulfilled her commitments to the show and RuPaul’s Drag Race Live in Las Vegas.

Morphine described filming as challenging due to her condition, stating that judges like RuPaul and Ts Madison showed concern for her well-being. She expressed gratitude for fan support during this difficult time.
