The McBee Dynasty Shaken by Steve McBee's Legal Troubles

The McBee family, known for their Missouri farm featured in "The McBee Dynasty," faces challenges as Steven "Steve" McBee pleads guilty to federal crop insurance fraud. The legal issues impact the family's farm operations and have initiated changes within the family business.

Family Ups and Downs

Steve and Kristi McBee were married for 28 years before divorcing in 2019 due to infidelity. Despite these personal setbacks, Steve continued expanding the family farm with his sons' assistance. However, legal troubles arose when Steve admitted to fraudulent activities regarding crop insurance.

His guilty plea in November 2024 disrupted the family's farming operations. In October 2025, Steve received a two-year prison sentence along with a restitution of over $4 million.

Building a Business Empire

Steve initially purchased farmland in the late '90s and expanded it over the years. By 2009, cattle ranching was added, and in 2018, Stephen McBee Jr. contributed by launching Apex Protein Snacks as an offshoot of the family enterprise.

Recent Ventures and Family Dynamics

In recent years, the McBees diversified with ventures like McBee Meat Co. and McBee's Coffee N’ Carwash while filming their reality TV show. The family also celebrated personal milestones, including marriages and new additions like grandchildren.
