Share Post

Prince Jackson honored his father, Michael Jackson, at the Los Angeles premiere of the biopic “Michael” by wearing fabric from one of the late singer's shirts. The event was attended by various celebrities who paid tribute to Michael’s iconic style.

Red Armband Tribute

Prince explained that his suit included a special red armband made from a corduroy shirt fabric worn by his father, designed by costume designer Michael Bush. This nod to his childhood and father meant a lot to him.

Children from Prince's foundation, Heal Los Angeles, also attended and wore red armbands featuring the charity's logo. The armband color was a symbol Michael often wore to show support for children in need.

Family and Celebrity Attendance

The premiere saw appearances from Usher, Wale, Myles Garrett, and others, all dressed in styles reminiscent of Michael Jackson. Prince and his brother Bigi had previously honored their father's style at another premiere in Berlin by wearing gold crown decals on their suits.

Bigi's red armband featured an iconic image of Michael's feet mid-dance move, further paying tribute to their father's legacy.

Biopic Details and Sequel Hints

The film “Michael,” set to release soon, explores the life of the pop star but stops short before delving into controversies surrounding him. Jaafar Jackson plays the role of Michael in this family-involved project.

Hints about a sequel have emerged as Jaafar mentioned ongoing early development talks. Effie Spence, who portrays Liza Minnelli in the movie, confirmed discussions about a second film due to the vastness and complexity of Michael Jackson’s life story.
