Eva Longoria Misses This Unexpected Part of Life After Moving to Europe
Eva Longoria misses aspects of her Texas roots and American culture after moving to Europe. She expressed longing for her family and good Mexican food, which she finds lacking in Europe.
Life in Europe
Longoria, originally from Texas, moved to Los Angeles in her 20s to pursue acting. After marrying José "Pepe" Bastón Patiño in 2016 and having their son, Santiago, they divided their time between Mexico and Spain. They purchased a home in Marbella, Spain, in 2023.
The actress noted the biggest adjustment was learning to "slow down" and enjoy longer meals, unlike the fast-paced working lunches common in the U.S.
Family Dynamics
Santiago started school in Los Angeles last year and greatly enjoyed it. Longoria mentioned that being with extended family brings him joy, as many relatives are based in Spain and Mexico.
A New Chapter
Longoria explained that leaving Los Angeles felt right due to several factors, including COVID-19's impact. This move represented a transition into a new phase of life for her and her family.
She enjoys walking everywhere in Spain due to the lack of traffic compared to Los Angeles.
