Irish actor Michael Patrick, known for his role in an episode of “Game of Thrones,” has died at age 35. Michael passed away in hospice care in Ireland after battling Motor Neuron Disease (MND).

His wife, Naomi Sheehan, announced the news on Instagram. Michael was diagnosed with MND in February 2023, a condition that affects muscle activity.

Naomi mentioned that Michael was admitted to hospice 10 days before his death and was surrounded by family and friends when he passed. The family expressed being "broken-hearted" over his death.

Naomi shared that Michael was an inspiration to everyone who met him and described him as living life to its fullest, filled with joy and infectious laughter. She thanked everyone who supported them during these years.

In his final Instagram post on February 6, Michael revealed his doctor had given him about a year to live. He stated he did not want to spend much of that time in a hospital bed and still had much to live for.

Naomi concluded her message with Michael’s favorite quote from Irish poet Brendan Behan: “The most important things to do in the world are to get something to eat, something to drink and somebody to love you.”
