Corey Feldman Speaks Out About Rob Reiner Oscars Snub: 'We're All Destroyed'
Corey Feldman expressed his disappointment at being left out of this year's Oscar tribute to the late director Rob Reiner, likening it to a family reunion he was not invited to. The tribute took place during the 2026 Oscars ceremony with notable stars honoring Reiner.
Tribute to Rob Reiner
Billy Crystal led a tribute segment for director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer-Reiner at the Oscars earlier this month. Stars who worked with Reiner, including Demi Moore, Meg Ryan, and Feldman's "Stand By Me" co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton, participated in the event.
Feldman's Sentiments
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feldman, 54, chose not to delve deeply into his feelings about being excluded but shared that he felt upset about the situation. He added that he believed O’Connell and Wheaton represented them well.
Feldman expressed his sorrow over the loss of Reiner, whom he hoped would have joined them for a film tour. Despite feeling initially hurt by the exclusion, Feldman remarked that it was only a fleeting moment of emotion.
Tragic Loss
The tribute came in light of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer-Reiner being found killed in their Los Angeles home on December 14. Their son Nick Reiner has been arrested and charged with the murders.
If convicted, Nick could face life imprisonment without parole or possibly the death penalty. His next court appearance is set for April 29.
