Ashley Iaconetti Speaks Out on Taylor Frankie Paul's Challenges
Ashley Iaconetti discussed the cancellation of Taylor Frankie Paul's season of "The Bachelorette" and shared her thoughts at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards. ABC decided not to proceed with Paul's season after a 2023 video showing a domestic incident was released.
ABC's Decision
Iaconetti expressed support for ABC's decision, stating, "It just didn’t seem like the appropriate thing to do." The decision to cancel came just days before the planned premiere of Season 22.
Support for Taylor Frankie Paul
Although Iaconetti hasn't spoken directly to Paul, she mentioned that other former Bachelorettes have reached out with messages of support. Trista Sutter, one of the original stars, confirmed sending supportive messages within their group chat.
Speculation on Replacement Shows
Iaconetti also commented on fan suggestions for filling the time slot left by Paul's season. Ideas include an all-star season of "Dancing With the Stars" or a new "Bachelorette" season featuring Maura Higgins.
On her personal front, Iaconetti is excited about joining a new reality series, “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” which premieres April 2 on Bravo. She noted this experience is more dramatic than any "Bachelor" season she has been part of.
