A conservative commentator has suggested that Vice President JD Vance consider removing President Donald Trump from office using the 25th Amendment, amid growing backlash over recent actions involving Iran.

Donald Trump, re-elected in 2024, is now serving as the 47th President of the United States. His presidency continues to face controversies, including his recent coordination with Israel on airstrikes against Iran.

Criticism of Trump's Actions

Scott McConnell, co-founder of The American Conservative, proposed on social media that JD Vance should support invoking the 25th Amendment. McConnell emphasized his recommendation by detailing a plan which includes selecting Chris Murphy as Vice President and committing not to run for office in 2028.

He described Murphy as an anti-war figure who is intelligent and moderate. McConnell has been vocal in opposing U.S. military involvement in Iran.

Political Recommendations

McConnell also mentioned Marco Rubio, suggesting he could participate in negotiating a ceasefire and potentially become a leading GOP candidate. He criticized Trump for allegedly relying on misleading intelligence from Israel regarding the Middle East situation.

The conflict has resulted in significant casualties, with reports stating over 3,000 deaths, including more than 1,000 civilians.

Doubt Over Iran Peace Talks

Although President Trump claimed effective ceasefire discussions with Iran, Iranian authorities have denied these claims.
