Soccer Star's Daughter Accused of Harassment by Chappell Roan
Soccer star Jorginho has accused singer Chappell Roan of having his 11-year-old stepdaughter Ada Law confronted by security for alleged harassment at a hotel in São Paulo. The incident reportedly occurred while Roan was in Brazil for Lollapalooza Brasil.
Incident at the Hotel
Jorginho shared on Instagram that his wife, Cat Cavelli, and her daughter Ada encountered one of Roan's security guards during breakfast. They were staying at the same hotel as the artist, and Ada recognized Roan and smiled after confirming her identity.
Ada allegedly did not approach or speak to Roan but was excited to see her. As they sat down again, a security guard reportedly approached them aggressively, accusing Ada of disrespect and harassment.
Security Guard's Reaction
The security guard allegedly threatened to file a complaint against Cavelli and Ada with the hotel management. This left the young girl visibly upset and in tears, according to Jorginho.
Jorginho expressed disbelief, questioning how his stepdaughter's actions could be considered harassment. He emphasized that Ada was merely admiring someone she admired from afar.
Jorginho Calls for Reflection
Jorginho stated that he understands public respect and boundaries due to his football career. He described the event as an overreaction, highlighting how fans are crucial to artists' success. Jorginho hoped this would prompt reflection on how fans are treated.
Us Weekly has reached out to Chappell Roan's representatives for comment on the situation.
The incident follows previous reports of Roan confronting photographers in Paris and at the MTV Video Music Awards due to privacy concerns.
