Share Post

Joseph Duggar, formerly of "19 Kids and Counting," has been arrested for unlawful sexual activity with a minor. The arrest was made by the Tontitown Police Department in Arkansas.

Details of the Arrest

Duggar, aged 31, was taken into custody at around 3 p.m. on March 18, following a warrant from Bay County. He faces charges of lewd behavior involving molestation of a victim under 12 years old.

Investigation Background

The investigation began after Bay County investigators were contacted by Tontitown police regarding past sexual abuse reports. A detective interviewed an alleged 14-year-old victim who claimed incidents occurred during a family vacation to Panama City Beach when she was 9.

The victim alleged that Duggar asked her to sit on his lap and next to him on the couch, where he allegedly touched her inappropriately under a blanket.

Duggar's Response and Legal Process

The victim reported that Duggar eventually apologized for his actions, which then ceased. On March 17, the girl's father confronted Duggar, who reportedly admitted his actions to both the father and detectives.

Duggar is currently awaiting extradition to Bay County. Us Weekly has contacted the Duggar family for comments as this case develops.
