Paul Thomas Anderson won his first two Academy Awards for directing and adapting the screenplay of "One Battle After Another," based on Thomas Pynchon's novel "Vineland." The movie also won Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn, Best Film Editing, and the inaugural Best Casting award.

Film Plot

"One Battle After Another" stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Bob Ferguson, a former revolutionary living off-the-grid with his daughter Willa, played by Chase Infiniti. When a corrupt military officer from his past returns and Willa goes missing, Bob is pulled back into his former life.
