Teens Joke About 'Blood Ritual' and Classmate's Fate, DA Reveals Disturbing Chats
Two Florida teens have been charged as adults for allegedly planning a "blood ritual" involving a classmate's murder to "resurrect" the Sandy Hook school shooter, according to prosecutors.
Details of the Alleged Plot
The teens, Isabelle Valdez and Lois Lippert, were reportedly caught on video discussing the plan while joking about their makeup and previous run-ins with police. They allegedly intended to kill a fellow student at their Seminole County high school because he reminded them of Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza.
Prosecutors' Allegations
A motion for pretrial detention alleges that Valdez and Lippert planned to lure the student into a bathroom and kill him. They allegedly discussed bringing Clorox wipes, a towel, and a knife for the attack. The plot reportedly developed over three months.
Evidence and Arrest
Another student informed authorities about the plan, leading to the teens' arrest. In police footage, they expressed regret over someone reporting them and speculated about jail time. Digital evidence allegedly included messages between the two, with references to a "blood ritual." A judge ordered them held without bond pending further court proceedings on April 29.
