Trump and Epstein 'Titanic' Statue Surfaces Unexpectedly in Washington DC

Share Post

A statue of Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, inspired by the film Titanic, has appeared on the National Mall in Washington D.C., capturing attention from visitors and passersby. The installation, which was put up earlier this week, resembles a famous scene from the movie where two characters stand at the bow of a ship.

Statue Installation Details

Unveiled on March 10, the 12-foot tall statue depicts Jeffrey Epstein standing with outstretched arms at the front of a ship, while Donald Trump holds his wrists from behind. This recreation mirrors the iconic scene involving characters Jack and Rose from Titanic.

The statue features partial gold spray paint to highlight certain areas, enhancing its visibility against its surroundings. It carries the title "The King of the World," connecting it directly to Leonardo DiCaprio’s famous line in the movie.

Artistic Message and Context

The piece was installed by The Secret Handshake, a group that uses art to promote political discourse. Located with a view of the U.S. Capitol, the artwork aimed to provoke thought due to its distinctive choice of subjects and placement.

Additional Elements

A plaque on the statue expands on its theme, comparing it to "The tragic love story between Jack and Rose" in Titanic, highlighting aspects of luxurious travel and secretive activities. This element ties back to Trump and Epstein's known association.
