Lil Nas X's legal team is seeking to resolve his felony charges related to a police battery case through a diversion program. The charges stem from an incident in Los Angeles where he was arrested after walking naked on Ventura Boulevard.

Legal Proceedings and Court Appearance

On March 12, Lil Nas X and his lawyer appeared in court in Van Nuys, California. His attorney requested additional time to file for a move into a diversion program as reported by Rolling Stone. The next court date was set for April 6.

Public Statements and Support

Outside the courthouse, Lil Nas X expressed gratitude to his fans, saying he misses them and appreciates their support. He stated, "All I wanted to say is to my fans, I really love and miss you, and I appreciate your support so much."

Background of the Arrest

The charges followed an August 2025 incident that went viral when Lil Nas X walked naked through Los Angeles. Police claimed he charged at them during their approach, leading to his arrest. He was suspected of overdosing and was hospitalized briefly before being taken to jail.

Lil Nas X later pleaded not guilty to three counts of battery causing injury to an officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. Released on $75,000 bail after spending three days in jail, he faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
