Charli XCX's Next Career Move After Hinting at Quitting Music
Charli XCX has expressed her desire to transition from music to acting. During a February 22 interview on Quen Blackwell's YouTube series, she declared her intentions to "quit music" and pursue more acting roles.
Charli's Career Shift
The singer was asked by Blackwell about her interest in acting, to which Charli enthusiastically replied that she wished to quit music in favor of acting. Charli XCX had previously achieved success with her album "Brat," which won a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2025.
Dream Acting Projects
Discussing her dream project, Charli mentioned an idea for an "ultimate it-girl ‘Final Destination’" film, as shared on TikTok in May 2025. She envisions the movie featuring popular figures like Rachel Sennott, Alex Consani, and Gabbriette.
Recent Acting Experience
The pop star starred in the mockumentary-style film "The Moment," released in January, where she played a fictional version of herself. The film also featured Kylie Jenner, Kate Berlant, and others as part of its cast.
"The Moment" depicted Charli grappling with fame and industry pressures while preparing for a major tour. The film emerged from her label's pressure to create a documentary for her "Brat" album and tour.
Charli told Vanity Fair that although the project is fictional, it provides an authentic view of the music industry.
