The race for Georgia’s 13th District is competitive, including longtime incumbent Rep. David Scott among others. The district covers parts of metro Atlanta and surrounding suburbs. The Democratic primary will be held on May 19, 2026.

With experience both on television and as an entrepreneur, Kimes has been part of Bravo's "Married to Medicine" since its early seasons and runs dental practices in Atlanta. Her campaign advocates for lowering family costs, expanding healthcare access, enhancing education opportunities, and supporting small businesses.

The primary's early voting starts on April 27, according to her campaign announcement.
