Savannah Guthrie's Return to 'Today': What's Next After Her Mom's Disappearance

Share Post

Savannah Guthrie is planning to return to the Today show following her mother Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. In the meantime, she is focused on supporting her family and assisting in efforts to locate her mother.

Absence from 'Today' Show

Savannah, 54, has been away from the Today show since February 1 when news of Nancy's disappearance in Arizona emerged. Hoda Kotb has been co-hosting with Craig Melvin during Savannah's absence.

The Today show's team has shown support by wearing yellow ribbon pins and decorating the studio with yellow flowers as symbols of hope for Nancy's safe return.

Community Support and Memorials

The community has united behind the Guthrie family, placing yellow flowers around Tucson, where Nancy was last seen. Savannah and her siblings have been actively participating in these efforts.

Earlier this month, Savannah and her family visited a memorial outside Nancy's home in Tucson, where they left sunflowers and a supportive note for their missing mother.

Ongoing Search Efforts

Efforts continue to find Nancy, with Savannah announcing an increase in their family's reward to $1 million for information leading to her safe return. The FBI also maintains a $100,000 reward.

Savannah shared hopes of bringing her mother home through an Instagram video, urging anyone with information to contact the FBI tip line.
