Michael B. Jordan won the Male Actor in a Leading Role award for Sinners at the 2026 Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA on March 1.

The ceremony took place at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Jordan expressed gratitude and surprise during his acceptance speech, acknowledging fellow nominees and reflecting on his career journey.
He thanked his mother for her support and director Ryan Coogler for providing opportunities to showcase his talent.
Strong Competition
Among the nominees were Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, and Jesse Plemons. Although Hawke has not yet won an Actor Award, the other nominees have at least one win each.
DiCaprio previously received the Outstanding Male Actor award for The Revenant, accumulating more nominations than any other actor in the category.
Chalamet's Pursuit of Greatness
Chalamet followed closely with nine nominations and emphasized his goal to be among the greats in acting. He expressed inspiration from renowned actors like Daniel Day Lewis and Viola Davis, as well as athletes such as Michael Jordan.
Plemons was recognized for his role in Breaking Bad, while Jordan celebrated past successes with Black Panther.
