During a speech at the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace on February 19, President Trump mentioned various dignitaries, including Paraguay's president, Santiago Peña Palacios. He noted Peña as "young and handsome" but added humorously that men do not interest him in that way.

Escalator Incident at the UN

The incident occurred during a previous visit to the UN when an escalator stopped working unexpectedly. At the time, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called for an immediate investigation. In hindsight, Trump now jokes about the situation.

Trump recounted how, during his last speech at the UN, both an escalator and a teleprompter failed him. He humorously noted that he prevented a fall with Melania's help and described her as being in "the proper location."

Following this, Trump mentioned a documentary about Melania titled "Melania," which performed poorly among critics but holds a high audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The United Nations suggested that the escalator might have stopped due to a safety mechanism triggered by their videographer.
