Blake Lively Settlement Talk with Justin Baldoni's Lawyer Hits a Snag

Share Post

Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's attempt to settle has failed, and they are likely heading to trial. Baldoni's lawyer shared that the settlement discussion on February 11 was unsuccessful, and there's a chance they might resume talks for a pretrial deal.

The trial, scheduled for May 18, is anticipated by Baldoni's lawyer. The former costars appeared in court for a private conference to potentially avoid going to trial. Baldoni arrived with his wife, Emily, while Lively entered the courthouse alone.

After Judge Lewis J. Liman suggested settling outside the court due to a potential trial postponement, the legal battle began in December 2024. Lively accused Baldoni of harassment after their movie collaboration. Baldoni denied the allegations and his counter lawsuit was dismissed in June 2025.

The civil trial was rescheduled to May from March due to Judge Liman's prior commitments. The attorneys for both parties expressed their commitment to continue fighting for their clients.

Lively's lawyers highlighted her perseverance against legal challenges and media campaigns, emphasizing her determination to speak up. Baldoni's lawyer expressed gratitude for the support received during the challenging time and trusts in the truth prevailing.
