The 84-year-old mother of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie has been missing since Saturday, with her last sighting at her home in Catalina Foothills on January 31.

Authorities suspect the situation is more serious, with evidence suggesting Nancy Guthrie may have been kidnapped from her home against her will.

The Pima County Sheriff confirmed the belief that Nancy did not leave her home voluntarily and that her limited mobility makes it unlikely she wandered off.

President Trump's Response

President Trump commented on the situation, calling it "terrible" and expressing concern for the Guthrie family during a press briefing on February 3.

Trump pledged federal assistance to Arizona law enforcement to aid in the search for Nancy and emphasized the urgency due to her health conditions.

Appeal for Information

Sheriff Nanos urged the public to provide any information they have about Nancy's whereabouts to prevent a tragic outcome, given her health challenges and the need for medication.

The White House also urged the public to contact authorities with information and offered prayers for the safe return of Nancy Guthrie.
