The White House strongly rebukes Mark Ruffalo's remarks about 'lying' Vance and 'pedophile' Trump.
The White House responded to comments made by actor Mark Ruffalo about JD Vance and Donald Trump. Ruffalo explained that he wore a “BE GOOD” pin in memory of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old woman who died after being shot by ICE officer Jonathan Ross in Minneapolis on January 7.
Video footage shows Good trying to drive away in her vehicle while an officer attempted to open the door, leading Ross to shoot. Ruffalo, along with other celebrities, wore the pin at the Golden Globes following Good’s death.
The Department of Homeland Security defended Ross's actions, claiming Good tried to hit him with her vehicle. Ruffalo accused Vice President JD Vance of misrepresentation and criticized Trump for his stance on international law.
Ruffalo described Trump as a convicted felon and rapist, calling him a pedophile. Trump was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records in May 2024 and was held liable for abusing E. Jean Carroll in a civil case in the same year.
Steven Cheung, a White House official, responded to Ruffalo’s comments, calling him a weak actor and an individual spreading falsehoods. Cheung criticized Ruffalo for his performance and alleged self-despise.
