Mother Kills Toddler for Being Fussy, Warns 7-Year-Old Son

A mother from New Mexico, Vanessa Chavez, was arrested for allegedly causing the death of her toddler daughter by slamming her head against a wall. The incident occurred because the child was "fussy" and upset her. Chavez's 7-year-old son witnessed the abuse and initially denied his mother's involvement but later admitted to the mistreatment. Chavez has been charged with intentional child abuse resulting in death and is currently held without bond at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center.
